We have designed a one-day Core Practice Institute to assist district and school leaders in using our research to assess their systems for performance improvement. This session will lead educators through a process to benchmark educator practices—an essential step in developing a long-term, systemic approach to school improvement.
District and school leaders will engage in a series of exercises to help them pinpoint strengths and challenges at all levels, and identify the most strategic practices within the Core Practice Framework for closing any identified performance gaps. As a result, participants will leave the Institute with a vision of the change they would like to see in their systems, and the knowledge necessary to build a comprehensive improvement plan consistent at the district, school and classroom levels.
