NCEA Symposia and Just for the Kids Awards Event

Helping More Arkansas Students Achieve College and Career Readiness: What's Next?

Thank you for joining the National Center for Educational Achievement (NCEA) as we spread the important message of college and career readiness (CCR) for all students. NCEA is proud to honor Arkansas educators who show tremendous commitment and effort in bringing excellence to their schools. We are humbled by the excitement and energy that each of you brought to the William J. Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock.

The event included a recognition ceremony for NCEA's Just for the Kids Higher Performing Schools and featured keynote speakers, including Governor Mike Beebe, Dr. Jim Purcell (Director of Arkansas Department of Education), Dr. Tom Kimbrell (Commissioner of Arkansas Department of Education), and Mr. Ed. Drilling (President of AT&T Arkansas and Vice Chair of Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce); panel discussions from leading superintendents and principals of Higher Performing Schools; and presentations discussing the importance of CCR for all Arkansas students.

The overwhelming attendance and participation reminds us that educators, administrators, and policymakers alike are all eager to create school systems where student learning targets empower our future generations to achieve college and career success.

The pictures below capture some of the essence of the NCEA Symposia and Just for the Kids Awards events. Congratulations Arkansas!
